East Maine School District 63 is seeking an outstanding educational leader to fill a vacancy on our collaborative, cohesive administrative team. Our primary interest is in educators who have demonstrated effective instructional leadership and who have strong potential for continued development. In fact, the school serves as a diverse group: more than 40 languages are spoken in student homes. More than 22 percent speak Spanish. Additionally, Apollo has a one-way dual language immersion program for Spanish speakers and provides a continuum of special education services that includes a self-contained life skills program. 

Apollo School, located in Maine Township, Illinois, just east of the City of Des Plaines, is a community to approximately 530 students from kindergarten to fifth grade. The Township - which borders the north end of Chicago - has a population of 135,177 residents. One of District 63's seven schools, Apollo is ten miles west of Lake Michigan, seven miles north of O'Hare Airport, and is in close proximity to Des Plaines, as well as the Villages of Glenview, Niles, and Morton Grove - and the city of Park Ridge. 

The base salary range for the position will be $122,000 to $134,000 and comes with a competitive benefits package including Board paid Teacher Retirement, family health-dental-vision insurance, tuition reimbursement, and a generous amount of paid time off during the 260-day work year.
