  • Superintendents Leadership Academy

    The ALAS Superintendents Leadership Academy (SLA) signature program addresses the need to recruit, mentor, and prepare the next generation of superintendents who serve Latino communities, while promoting the advancement of Latino leaders.

    ALAS SLA Program continues to be the premier leadership academy in the nation, due to its competitive and balanced cohort selection of candidates.

  • National Principal Leadership Academy

    The National Principal Leadership Academy supports the leadership development of aspiring and novice principals.

    The curriculum and assignments will be equity-centric for leading staff and serving our marginalized and students of color.

  • Women Superintendents Policy Leadership Academy

    The Women Superintendents Policy Leadership Academy supports superintendent and assistant superintendent leadership development in policymaking and advocacy. The focus of policy writing and adaptations for equity centered ecosystems will provide navigation and understanding of how policies are written, whom they are written for, and when to navigate or advocate.

  • SLA Alumni Network

    The SLA Alumni Network came about as a result of, informal gatherings during annual conferences, and ten years in the making. The Superintendent Leadership Academy, which is a signature program of ALAS, is now in year twelve. There are currently eleven (11) cohorts of academy graduates or 137 alumni. The SLA Alumni Network is more than just a gathering of colleagues. The SLA Alumni Network is focused on their continuous use of “A Problem of Practice.” Utilizing the process of a Problem of Practice is a fundamental concept of the curriculum in the SLA, in the advancement of learning for all children, with an emphasis on Black and Brown youth. The SLA Alumni Network will continue the use of this process to address issues that evolve from Problems of Practice to Practices of Promise.

  • Leaders of Legacy Network

    Graduates of the Superintendents Leadership Academy (SLA) program are provided a mentor and graduates of the National Principal Leadership Academy (NPLA) are provided a coach for one (1) year upon attainment of their first position in either the principalship or superintendency as a member benefit.

  • Linking Latina Leaders Network (L3)

    The Linking Latina Leadership Network focus on current and relevant practices through book studies, guest speakers, and professional development opportunities. The work of the Linking Latina Leaders and their strategic Partner(s) is a critical component to the success and advancement for the female leaders of today and tomorrow.
