About the Position 
The Director of Multilingual Education is assigned to the Equity and Student Success Department located in the Educational Services Center in Lynnwood. The Director manages the District’s Multilingual Learner program, including Dual Language, Transitional Bilingual, Migrant, and federal Title III/Title VI programming; provides leadership in a shared-decision making environment, develops short and long-range goals to enable meaningful access to grade level curricula and instruction; provides direction and follow-through in the development and implementation of district-wide supplemental instruction and services for language acquisition for students aged preschool through 21.

Required Qualifications: 

  1. Master’s degree in Teaching, Education, or a closely related field. 

  2. Valid Washington State Teaching Certificate with ELL endorsement. 

  3. Multilingual Learners classroom teaching experience.
     

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Central administrative office experience preferred.

  2. Working towards or willingness to obtain WA State Administrative certification.

  3. Bilingual a plus.

2021-22  Manager Salary Schedule:  Level 3 -Program Director $153,745 to $156, 881, depending on education
