SUPERINTENDENT-KENT INTERMEDIATE SCHOOL DISTRICT
The Board of Education of the Kent Intermediate School District (Kent ISD) welcomes applications from qualified applicants for the position of Superintendent of Schools. Superintendent Ron Caniff officially retires effective December 31, 2020 after five exemplary years of service to the organization. Interim Superintendent Ron Koehler will guide the district through the end of June 2021, when the Board of Education expects the next superintendent to assume duties.
This is certainly one of the premier opportunities in the Midwest if not the entire country. The greater Kent County area is a wonderful place to live featuring parks, theater and entertainment, culture and attractive neighborhoods. Furthermore, the new superintendent will serve in an area with a vibrant economy, exceptional schools, supportive partners and a veteran Board of Education who strives toward the organizational vision:
“Kent ISD will be the community’s first choice for educational
services so that every student in every classroom achieves every day.”
