Central Bucks School District is accepting applications for a Safety, Security, and Environmental Coordinator. This full-time Administrative position offers excellent benefits and a competitive salary in accordance with the Act 93 Administrative Compensation Plan.

The Safety, Security, & Environmental Coordinator is responsible for development and management of district safety, security, and environmental programs to ensure compliance with all municipal, state, and federal legislation and guidelines.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):

  • Support the District ACT 44 School Safety Coordinator to comply with all requirements of ACT 44 of 2018 including risk & vulnerability assessments.
  • Develop, coordinate, and maintain the District Emergency Operations Plan as required by the State Emergency Management Services (EMS) Code.
  • Serve as the District Security Camera and Access Card Coordinator. Manage, maintain databases, and upgrade all cameras at district facilities. Maintain the Access Card Management System, and create all access cards for employees, contractors, etc.
  • Serve as the District Asbestos Inspector and Management Planner.
  • Investigate and recommend remedial action of all indoor air quality complaints.
  • Write specifications, bid, and coordinate the Integrated Pest Management Program for all district facilities and grounds.
  • Manage the district’s Underground and Above Ground Storage Tanks (UST’s and AST’s) Program.
  • Ensure all municipal and state requirements are met for well water monitoring and consumption and sewage plant treatment.
    • 1. Oversee O&M of five public water systems; hold a water operator license or oversee vendor with license.
    • 2. Oversee O&M of two public pools; hold a Certified Pool Operator (CPO) license.
    • 3. Maintain PADEP stormwater discharge permit at two fueling facilities.
    • 4. Oversee laboratory analytical work for drinking water plants, pools and stormwater sampling.
    • 5. Oversee industrial water treatment program and vendor.
  • Ensure all ACT 39 of 2018 requirements are met yearly for district facilities to be tested for lead levels in the drinking water.
  • All other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor of Science degree in public safety or environmental engineering from a college or university OR
Minimum 5 years of experience involving emergency management, HAZMAT, and public safety.
Certification as an Asbestos Inspector and Management Planner.
Certified Pest Control application.
IFMA Certified Facility Manager (CFM) is preferred.
