About the Position This is position is for the 2021-22 school year. The position is open until filled. The first screening of applications will begin on Monday, February 22. All applications submitted by 11:00 pm on February 21 will be included in the first screening. Edmonds School District Assistant Principals work with the building administrative team to supervise, direct, and evaluate assigned staff, utilize evaluation process to promote professional growth and staff development; provide educational leadership and develop, implement, and assess an effective learning program to continuously improve student performance; create a learning environment sensitive to diverse socioeconomic and ethnic groups; align and implement staff development activities for the building staff; model high expectations, performance, and achievement for students and staff; promote shared decision making and teamwork; promote high expectations, performance, and achievement from students and staff; promote collaborative, collegial work among students, staff and parents; maintain a positive school climate; establish and maintain effective communication with the community, parents, building staff and central office staff; supervise student conduct and oversee building and District disciplinary policies; supervise student activities, supervise and evaluate assigned staff; manage the maintenance and use of the physical plant to facilitate the educational program; manage the budget activities for the building following District guidelines and procedure 

Required Qualifications:
1, Masters Degree and valid Washington State Principals Credential for the elementary level.
2. Previous teaching experience at the elementary level.
3. Knowledge and understanding of the use of an instructional framework to guide instructional practices, including experience with Teacher/Principal Evaluation Pilot (TPEP) evaluation preferred.
4. Read, write, listen and speak in Spanish.

Elementary Assistants Principals Salary: $128,796 – $133,947 per year, depending on education credits
